Cookies & Dances

Saturday was the Midwest City Community Center's Daddy/Daughter Dance. We bought tickets for Alan & Starla weeks ago, and she counted down the days, she couldn't wait! They got dressed up, went out to eat to Ci-ci's (it was her choice), and then went to the dance where they danced, had snacks and rode in a horse drawn carriage. She had a blast! The pics after they left home aren't great, they were taken on Alan's phone. He wont carry around the big bulky camera like I will. :)

One of the activities that take place at the Homeschool Capitol Day, is called a Cookie Drop. Homeschoolers provide a dozen cookies to each and every legislator in the captiol, which is quite a few! We signed up to decorate and fill 3 boxes. The kids had fun with it. They made peanut butter and chocolate cookies. We were assigned names, and the kids had fun looking them up when we got to the capitol to see who got our cookies. :)
