Starla enjoys daddy's birthday doughnuts!
After Alan got off of work, Jamie came over and gave him a birthday massage, and then we gave him his Bevo from build-a-bear!
Poppy & Granny came to take us out to dinner on Alan's b-day, and they brought him the coolest telescope ever!! It has a GPS in it and you can tell it to find a planet, or star, or constellation or whatever and it finds it for you!! We can't wait to learn how to use it!
We went to eat at Primo's
Alan enjoys his birthday dessert!
Nanny & Papa got Alan $50 worth of gift cards at Joe's Crab shack, so tuesday afternoon we went and had lunch!! Thanks Nanny & Papa!!!
Yum!
Bourbon insisted he wanted lobster, but the only lobster they had was 2 full lobsters in a pot full of clams, sausage, corn & potatos, so Daddy & Bourbon shared that one. But when it came, Bourbon was very freaked out by the lobsters, and of course Alan being Alan, tormented him with it until he cried, Sigh. After I cracked it open and helped him get the meat out, Bourbon enjoyed it. But he did not like that it came whole, lol. I keep saying we are going to take the thing that Alan is afraid of and torment him with it and see how he likes it.....
Roman LOVES seafood. He & I shared a big pot of crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatos and corn.
On tuesday we had a little BBQ with a few friends for daddy's birthday
An hour before the BBQ started (5pm), I changed Starla into her party outfit and noticed she was covered in little red bumps!!! I called the Dr's and they told me to give her benedryl and if they went away, it wasn't Chicken Pox, but if it didn't have any effect by morning than it might be chicken pox! Lovely. It was too late to do anything about it, we just warned everyone who came to the BBQ (there were only 3 other kids besides our own) and went on with the party!
We like making our own decorations!
daddy grilled!
This is where I spent most of the time! :)
yum, lots of food!
We surprised daddy with a life-sized Bevo poster, and all of us wore Texas gear!
Texas shaped Longhorn cake!

We took Starla to the Dr's the next day, the benedryl made improvements in the bumps, but didn't take them away. The Dr' said they really couldn't tell what they were. They didn't look like chicken pox, but they could be atypcial "wild" chicken pox they said, it also could be a bacteria she caught that makes your hair follicles infected. So they prescribed some antibactieria ointment in case it was that, and told me to continue giving benedryl in case it was some sort of allergy, and to keep her out of hot water or too much sunlight in case it was chicken pox so that all of our bases were covered, lol. She didn't have a fever, and really didn't scratch them much, and in fact they didn't seem to slow her down at all. I call them Starla's mystery bumps. They are almost gone, so who knows what they were! But no one else got them!
